Book Verdict – 1. But that was only half the story. He had an intense imagination, vision, and belief in things that had yet to be discovered. He eschewed material objects yet made objects of desire. He liked people to stand up to him, and he said that brutal honesty was required to be part of his team. Though Sfeve doubt that he has a subjective setve about Steve… I must admit that the lines Walter writes about the last days of Steve… is very … well, impressive.

That impress me more than anything in his best product collections.

His legacy, as he said in his “Think Different” ad, was reminding us that the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. But he was deeply satisfied by the creativity he ingrained at Apple and the loyalty of both his close colleagues and his family.

Andy Hertzfeld, who worked with Steve on the original Macintosh team, said that even if you were aware of his Reality Distortion Field, you still got caught up in it. And so it seemed only logical that I would eventually read this book to gain insight both in the genesis and evolution of Apple and in the person of Steve Jobs. But even Steve Jobs, the Great one, can be forever. Thank you for your feedback. His tale is instructive and cautionary, filled with lessons about innovation, character, leadership, and values. Not knowing what to expect, I halfway expected this to be a biography of an ego maniac, and I avoided reading this until a waltersno recommended it.

The Sculley years were less than inspiring after Jobs left and it was very interesting to have waltersoon behind the scenes view of the Apple history.
